  • Texas driver's license, state ID, or passport
  • Proof of local address (utility bill, lease, or similar)
  • Proof of income (pay stubs, bank statements, or tax returns)
  • Full coverage insurance once a vehicle is chosen
  • Credit or debit card for the down payment (cash also accepted)

How it actually goes

An hour from hello to keys.

Most start-to-finish deals at Kent's take under an hour. Here's the path.

  1. Stop by 409 N. Glenwood Monday–Friday, 8:30 to 5:30 — or call 903-595-0600 and we'll set you up.
  2. Look at what's on the lot. Pick the vehicle you'd like to drive home.
  3. Sit down for about half an hour and walk through documents, income, and a payment that fits.
  4. Set up insurance on the vehicle (we'll wait while you call your agent).
  5. Sign the paperwork, hand over the down payment, drive home.

01 Do you pull credit?
No. Approval is based on verified income, Texas residency, and the ability to carry full coverage insurance — not your credit score. We do run a records search to verify the information provided on your application.
02 Do you do no-money-down deals?
A down payment is part of every financing agreement at Kent's. The exact amount depends on the vehicle. Call 903-595-0600 and we'll quote it.
03 Can I buy a car here if I'm self-employed?
Yes, as long as you can show steady income — bank statements, tax returns, or invoices all work.
04 Can I bring a co-signer?
Yes, but you don't have to. Most of our customers buy without one.
05 Do you sell with a warranty?
All vehicles are sold as is. We inspect every vehicle before listing and we'll tell you what we know about its condition. You're welcome to arrange a pre-purchase inspection by an outside mechanic.

The financing program described on this page covers the purchase of the vehicle; it does not include any extended warranty, mechanical service contract, or guarantee of future condition. Pre-purchase inspections by an outside mechanic are welcome.
