903-595-060001 Do I need good credit to buy a car at Kent's?
No. We don't pull credit. Approval is based on whether you've held a steady job and Texas address for at least a year, and whether you can carry full coverage insurance on the vehicle you choose.
02 What do I need to bring?
A valid Texas driver's license, state ID, or passport; proof of a local address; proof of steady income; and a credit, debit, or cash down payment. Insurance is set up after we agree on a vehicle and before you drive home.
03 How much are payments?
Payments start at $180 biweekly and go up depending on the vehicle and the down payment. We'll give you a real number on whatever vehicle you're looking at before you commit.
04 Do you take trade-ins?
Yes. We trade vehicles in toward a purchase and we also buy vehicles outright from individuals — even if you're not buying from us. Call 903-595-0600 to schedule an appraisal.
05 Do you sell with a warranty?
All vehicles are sold as is. Every vehicle has been through our inspection process before it's listed.
06 Are you open on Saturday?
No. Kent's is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and closed Saturday and Sunday. Voicemails and Facebook messages left over the weekend get returned first thing Monday.
07 Where do I make my payments?
You can pay in person at the lot during business hours, by phone with a credit or debit card, or online through PayMaxx at paymaxxpay.com/kentsautosales.
08 Can I buy a car if I just moved to Texas?
Our financing requires that you've live and work locally. If you've just moved, we'd rather wait until that history is established than put you in a situation that's hard to maintain.

10 Have you been in Tyler a long time?
Kent's Auto Sales has been at 409 N. Glenwood Boulevard since 2005 — 21 years at the same location. Kent Poole opened the dealership in 2005 and runs it today.
